Manchester United have begun negotiations with Borussia Dortmund regarding a transfer for Jadon Sancho and are 'increasingly confident' about the deal going through, reports The Athletic.
The Red Devils are willing to spend £80 million upfront with an additional £20 million in 'achievable add-ons' - which the German club are on board with.
United have been chasing Sancho since last year and were close to a deal but Dortmund's insane £110 million valuation jeopardised everything.
Now, The Athletic understands that United want to seal the transfer before the Euros begin in a week's time. However, the fact that Sancho has already reported for England training could complicate proceedings.
If Sancho performs well for the Three Lions in such a huge international tournament, it could drive up his price tag once again. Thus, the sooner we complete the transfer, the better.
