Man United are set to benefit in the summer transfer window from one possible transfer they are not even a part of.
According to The Times, former United winger Wilfried Zaha has told Crystal Palace that he wants to leave the club this summer before the pre-season training starts.
The 28-year-old moved back to Palace on a permanent basis back in 2015 after a disappointing Man United spell. Despite that, the Red Devils rated the player's talent highly - otherwise, they would not have included a 25 per cent sell-on clause in that deal.
Now, Zaha is valued at €45m by Transfermarkt, but Palace would surely try to raise even more funds from selling their star which, of course, would be a positive development for United.
However, Palace were waiting for suitable offers as early as two years ago but all in vain. So, it would not be easy for them to sell Zaha at a fee they would've liked to raise, especially in the current financial situation.
