De Gea 'to seek talks with Solskjaer' over United's goalkeeper situation before next season

David de Gea will be looking to sit down and have a chat with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about how he aims to deal with the goalkeeper situation at Man United, as per ESPN.

It’s said that the Spaniard is still ‘in the dark’ over his future at Old Trafford and hasn’t been informed by the gaffer about the plans for his goalkeeper’s next season.

De Gea remains keen on playing at the highest level and would only look for a move away from United if Dean Henderson is confirmed as their no.1 from next season onward.

The Spaniard lost his position as United’s no.1 towards the end of the Premier League season last time – with Henderson featuring in the majority of the league games from March.

De Gea’s campaign ended on a bitter note as he was unable to impress in the Europa League final penalty shootout and missed his own penalty to seal Villarreal’s win.

The 30-year-old has made 441 appearances for United since arriving in 2011, keeping 155 clean sheets and has also won the Matt Busby Player of the Year award on 4 separate occasions.
