Speaking to Man United’s official website about what the coaches told him upon being called into the first-team squad, Hannibal Mejbri said: “The club has a great history and everyone always tells me about it.
“Everyone would keep telling me that when I first came here. When you pull on that United shirt, you have to have that desire to win and that hunger for trophies, which I think is really impressive.
“Each time I wear the red shirt, you simply have to have that real desire to win that's the impression I got when I first arrived here. United has an entire history of producing excellent young players and I think that the manager is continuing that
“I think that United, as a club, has had some great young players throughout its history. The manager has faith in young players, which is a good thing for me, and I’ll be trying to grab any opportunities that come my way. But the most important thing, just as he said to me, is to work hard and never give up.”
Hannibal made his senior debut for United in their final Premier League game of the season against Wolves. He also made his debut for the Tunisia national team recently – but could be loaned to Galatasaray next season to get more first-team opportunities.
