Fernando Santos has insisted that the fact that Diogo Dalot played in the U21 Euros for Portugal was the reason he was chosen to replace Joao Cancelo in Portugal's Euro 2020 squad.
He said: "It's to with his quality and the fact he’s been playing competitively up until very recently. There's some players as good as Diogo who haven’t been competing and it would be difficult for them to come in."
