Paul Pogba could be punished by UEFA for breaching Covid-19 protocols after France’s 1-0 win over Germany in their Euro 2020 opener.
As per BeIn Sports, Pogba went over to the stands and gifted his shirt to a French fan after his man-of-the-match display on Tuesday.
However, that is strictly prohibited under the Covid-19 guidelines, and Pogba could face some kind of punishment for that if UEFA decide to take the matter further.
The Frenchman could face a fine or even be banned for a game or two in extreme cases – even though the latter is unlikely to happen.
However, Pogba posted a picture of his family members posing with his shirt after the game – which could help him escape punishment as he was mingling with his family rather than random spectators.
The Man United star put in a brilliant performance for France to help them start their Euros on a bright note.
