When asked about the future of Eduardo Camavinga and whether certain teams (like Man United) are indeed speaking to him about a move, Rennes sporting director Florian Maurice told Ouest France: “For the moment, we don’t have an agreement on one side or the other. For the moment, Eduardo is here.
“There are discussions that exist between the clubs, with the player as well. We still haven’t found a solution. Either we find a way to extend his contract, or a club is interested in Eduardo and we’ll reflect on the proposal that we’re given.
“We’re not obliged to sell a player who has a year left of his contract. Today, there has been no official proposal on the president’s desk.”
United are reportedly set to talk to Camavinga’s representatives over a potential summer move – but could find it difficult to strike an agreement with the youngster said to be prioritizing a move to PSG.
The Red Devils are currently prioritizing moves for Jadon Sancho and a centre-back – but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does want a quality defensive midfielder to fix some of his issues in midfield next season.
