'PSG is always open to improving its workforce': Mauricio Pochettino refuses to rule out Pogba transfer

After his side’s win over Brest on Friday, PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino was asked whether the club are still pursuing a move for Paul Pogba. He said: “The arrival of a midfielder like Pogba? We know that in football things can happen, situations turnaround.

“A club like PSG is always open to improving its workforce. A sector where we must strengthen as a priority for me? I won't say it publicly. Never.

“I will tell (sporting director) Leonardo first, who will tell our president. If I say so, there will be an earthquake and problems.”

PSG were very interested in signing Pogba this summer, but the arrival of Lionel Messi has slowed down their pursuit for the Frenchman.

Moreover, Man United reportedly will not entertain the idea of selling the midfielder this summer and are even willing to take the risk of allowing him to run down his contract and leave for free next summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the club is speaking with Pogba’s representatives over renewing his contract, as the Frenchman himself is focused on continuing his good work on the pitch after managing 4 assists against Leeds United.
