As per The Sun's Neil Custis, a fairly reliable reporter with sources within the club, Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo were furious after being down by two goals at half-time against Atalanta.
Taking a page out of Sir Alex Ferguson's book, Ronaldo reportedly unleashed the hairdryer treatment on his teammates in the dressing room.
A club source stated: "Cristiano addressed the whole team and told them that the performance was unacceptable.
“He asked if they were not ashamed and said this was not how Manchester United perform in front of their own fans.
"He told them they needed to win the game and, if they didn’t, they might not qualify for the next stage of the Champions League."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over after that but Custis goes on to add that Bruno was equally displeased and urged the boss to change his tactics in the second half.
The midfielder also urged Ole to let him drop deeper and get on the ball more often. Sure enough, the Norwegian changed things up in the second half and the Red Devils registered a 3-2 comeback win.
