Klopp wanted to sign Cavani in the summer
As per El Nacional, Jurgen Klopp was interested in signing Edinson Cavani for Liverpool during the 2021 summer transfer window.
The German was 'closely monitoring' the 34-year-old's situation after Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival. However, Cavani opted to stay at Manchester United.
Scholes slams 'useless' Wan-Bissaka
"I said before the 3-5-2 doesn't suit the players in the team," Paul Scholes told Premier League Productions after the Manchester derby on Saturday.
"Aaron Wan-Bissaka is useless on the ball. Brilliant defender but useless on the ball at right-back. Three centre-halves, none of them that good on the ball. Ole has got to find a way."
Ole remains confident in his ability
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains still convinced that he's the right man for the job as the crisis at Man United continues to deepen with each game.
The Norwegian told Sky Sports: "Can I turn United's season around? Definitely. I want the best for United and as long as I'm here I want to do everything I can to improve this."
Southgate issues warning to Sancho
Gareth Southgate has warned Jadon Sancho that he will continue to miss out on the England squad unless he starts getting more play time at Man United.
The Three Lions head coach said: "There has to be a point where you say: 'OK, the route here is we have to bring in different players who are playing regularly and can perform for us this time around.' There is no point carrying lads if we don’t think we can use them."
