Scotland head coach provides concerning fitness update on McTominay

Scott McTominay will not take part in Scotland's World Cup qualifier against Denmark on Monday, manager Steve Clarke has confirmed.

“Scott is definitely out," the Scotland boss said at his press conference. "Scott hasn’t recovered enough from his virus."

The Man United midfielder got a throat virus in the build-up to the previous game against Moldova which he has also missed.

With less than a week before United's next game against Watford, it's not quite clear how fit McTominay will be for that fixture.
