Dalot opens up on 'beautiful and healthy' competition with Wan-Bissaka

“I wanted to stay here and the club trusted me to stay here. My mind was completely focused on having an important role in this team,” Diogo Dalot told the Telegraph when asked about his future at Man United.

“The most beautiful and healthy competition is when there are two or three for each position and you can learn from each other. I'm sure Aaron (Wan-Bissaka) learns some things from me when I play, I learn from him. Everyone is going to be a part of it this season,” he also added.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to keep Dalot in the United squad this season after failing to sign Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid. The Portuguese full-back has only started 2 games so far for the Red Devils, being unable to get many opportunities over Wan-Bissaka.

But despite attracting serious attention from AS Roma, Dalot seems determined to succeed at Old Trafford and is likely to stay at United soon.
