Yves Bissouma, Amad Diallo & 8 more names: ranking probability of latest rumours

In our latest transfer round-up, we looked at 10 names that could join or leave Man United over the next two transfer windows.

So now let’s try to make more sense of these rumours and analyze their probability.

1/10: Julian Alvarez to join in January: There have been rumours that United are willing to pay the River Plate striker’s €20m release clause, but Fabrizio Romano has insisted that a deal is not going to take place.

1/10: Mauro Icardi to replace Edinson Cavani: Icardi is being reported as a potential replacement for Edinson Cavani. But El Matador isn’t leaving in January, which means this deal is very unlikely to happen.

2/10: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to join United: The Red Devils are reportedly interested in the Serbian midfielder, but Lazio probably won’t sell him for anything below €70m. With more pressing matters to look into, United are unlikely to spend that much for Milinkovic-Savic this year.

3/10: Ruben Neves as a January signing: United are looking at Neves as a potential January signing, as per Sky Sports. However, he’s contracted to Wolves till 2024 and Bruno Lage won’t sell him, which is why this probably won’t happen that soon.

4/10: Donny van de Beek to leave in January: Donny van de Beek is keen to leave United, but Ralf Rangnick reportedly won’t allow him to go as he wants to keep his squad intact for the second half of the season. Unless the two can form an understanding, Donny’s nightmare won’t end soon.

5/10: Yves Bissouma to join United: Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma is available for around £50m in January. While United haven’t shown any official interest yet, they have the funds to get a deal done. If Rangnick gives his approval, this could have an outside possibility.

6/10: Anthony Martial to get his desired exit: Martial wants to leave United, but his hopes of a move to Sevilla have been impacted as talks have broken down over a loan deal. Unless Anthony lowers his wage demands, no club is going to sign him this month.

8/10: Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba to leave in the summer: Jesse Lingard has refused a January move as he wants more game-time at United. But considering he isn’t signing a new deal, the Englishman is going to leave in the summer alongside Paul Pogba – who has also not shown any signs of signing a new deal despite being reportedly given a bumper new offer.

9/10: Amad Diallo to leave on loan: Amad Diallo is unlikely to get much game-time under Rangnick this season and could benefit from a loan. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that he’ll 100% leave on loan, and will probably join an English club too.
