Reaching a half-century of appearances doesn't account for much when you play hardly a few minutes in each game. 

In 2020/21, Donny played 1,456 minutes and this term, he's played only 380 minutes so far. That's a total of 1,764 minutes which approximately boils down to just 19 or 20 full games (playing for full 90 mins). 

That's not even half of 50 and fans are rightfully angry:

The Englishman is said to be pushing to leave Old Trafford this month but the Dutchman is expected to stay until at least the end of the 2021/22 season.

If I was VdB I’d so much want to stay and prove that I was every bit capable of doing a great job in midfield for United and I personally still would love to see him succeed here at OT. ⚽️🥅🏆
