David de Gea up for Premier League Player of the Month award for January

The Premier League has released a six-man shortlist for the Player of the Month award.

One of them is Man United goalkeeper David de Gea who conceded four goals and made 20 saves in four Premier League games in January.

De Gea is the only keeper on the list, as the other five players are either midfielders or attackers.

Kevin de Bruyne and Jarrod Bowen are probably two other contenders, although Jack Harrison, Joao Moutinho and James Ward-Prowse also excelled in the last few weeks.
