Since posting the images of herself bleeding and the audio files of Mason Greenwood forcing himself on her, Harriet Robson has deleted all of her pictures on Instagram - including the damning evidence.
Manchester United fans have condemned Greenwood, 20, for his actions and the club have released a statement saying they won't 'tolerate' violence of any kind.
With the Greater Manchester Police involved, this case is likely to take a more serious turn now.
In such cases, things that could be used as legal evidence can't be posted on social media for the public as they could be tampered with. Sometimes, it's also done to protect the victim from further scrutiny and abuse.
If the police get involved, the priority will be to protect Harriet and conduct a due investigation based on the audio files, where Mason can be heard threatening her with violence.
It could also have been Harriet's personal choice because of the kind of abuse some 'fans' are throwing at her. It's never easy to speak about something like this on a public platform particularly because of the nasty abuses that could come your way.
Nevertheless, the best we can hope for now is a proper investigation is conducted and if guilty, Greenwood is punished for his actions.
