BREAKING: Mason Greenwood released on bail after rape and assault arrest

An official statement from the Greater Manchester Police has confirmed that 

Officials said: "A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman has been released on bail pending further investigation."

An official statement, released in Tuesday night, reads: "Man United reiterates its strong condemnation of violence of any kind.

"As previously communicated, Mason Greenwood will not train with, or play for, the club until further notice."

The 20-year-old has been further arrested by the Greater Manchester Police 'on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill'.

This comes after Greenwood was taken into custody on Sunday when his girlfriend Harriet Robson shared damning evidence of him raping and assaulting her.

According to the statement from the Greater Manchester Police, the 20-year-old has been 'further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill'.

The officials said: "The suspect continues to be questioned after magistrates authorised an extension until tomorrow (Wednesday 2 February). Following enquiries so far, he has since been further arrested."

 forward was first arrested on Sunday, January 30 after his long-term girlfriend Harriet Robson posted damning evidence on social media of him raping and assaulting her. Greenwood will remain in custody for the time being.

I know English isn't the native language for some, but released on bail, means he PAID to get out. If some of you are happy with that, then THAT is what is wrong with our world. Of course that was bound to happen. Every rich person would do that. 

It's another thing to be happy if he's innocent, another to want him to be innocent, and a whole different thing that he's out on bail, cause that doesn't prove he's innocent, YET. 

So please, hold your horses, cause either way, this will take long time to gather more info on the case, and he ain't gonna play for a good month or more, depending on how long the evidence will take to be gathered.

P.S Don't get me wrong, I want him to be innocent, he's one of my favorites, if not the most, but that doesn't mean I will look the other way for what he's being accused of. 

Also, let that be a clear message to all players worldwide, that you can't be a dick and get away with it. The least it could do to you, is ruin your career & reputation.

Released on bail doesn't mean he's innocent mate. 
It means you've been charged with a crime and you can go home until your court hearing and there's usually conditions with that like not being able to leave the country etc..

Nobody hates Greenwood as a person.It is the charge placed on him that people don't want to be associated with.
He should have learn from what happened to Manchester city Mendy.
This should serve as a deterrent to all young players.It is becoming a recurring decimal.

I just dont get you. Its nothing to do with whether hes guilty or not with you. Somebodys daughter and sister is suffering right now. Is that right. If this was a scouser or a shitty player you woulda had him hung drawn and quartered by now.

no it doesn't mean that mate it means the case is still open and no charges have been brought yet... you can't appear in court until you have been charged with something... doesn't mean his innocent doesn't mean he's guilty

correct. no charges yet. He was under arrest, and they are carrying out further investigations and probably interviewing other people involved. When they have sufficient evidence gathered,  they present their case to the Crown Prosecution Service and any charges will be made. He will then have to answer any charges in court. Its coming, but still some way to go yet
