The upcoming transfer window will be a key one for Manchester United as the Red Devils look to put an end to their five-year trophy drought.

Goalkeepers
When it comes to goalkeepers, Man United are set. David De Gea is likely to sign a new contract, and even if Dean Henderson leaves the club in the summer, Tom Heaton and Lee Grant will be there to cover for the Spaniard next season.
Defenders
Question marks over Eric Bailly's future and Harry Maguire's lack of consistency could force Man United to search for a new centre-back. Bringing in a 23-year-old Uruguay international Ronald Araujo, who has recently rejected a contract renewal at Barcelona, could be a great move for the Red Devils this summer.
Neither Aaron Wan-Bissaka nor Diogo Dalot appear to be good enough to take Man United forward, meaning that another right-back could be brought in when the transfer window reopens. Signing 21-year-old Tariq Lamptey from Brighton could be right move given his impressive spell in the Premier League.
Midfielders
Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Donny van de Beek are likely to leave Man United this summer. Therefore, at least two new midfielders will be needed ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. West Ham's Declan Rice, 23, and AS Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni, 22, could help the Red Devils quickly solve their midfield issues.
Strikers
Edinson Cavani is on his way out of the club and there are no guarantees that Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood are staying. Man United desperately need a new young striker and Erling Haaland remains the dream target. More realistically, though, the Red Devils could approach 23-year-old Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
