Unleash the youngsters? Select your favorite Man United XI vs Brentford from 3 options

Man United play their final Premier League game at Old Trafford this season against Brentford on Monday.

The Red Devils will be without a number of key players, but Edinson Cavani and Fred have an outside chance of returning.

Option 1: Same team from Chelsea draw

Because of the shortage of options right now, Ralf Rangnick could be forced to field the same XI that played against Chelsea in the Brentford match.

That would mean another chance for Marcus Rashford on the left wing after his poor outing against Chelsea.

Option 2: Unleash the young guns

Now that the ‘big games’ are done, Rangnick can finally experiment with his team a little bit. That includes being brave and starting the youngsters over some of the underperforming senior players.

Alejandro Garnacho got his debut against Chelsea. Giving him a start against Brentford can help add an unpredictable factor to the attack. Hannibal Mejbri and Shola Shoretire’s inclusion would also mean a more hard-working, energetic unit that put in a lot of work on the pitch.

Alvaro Fernandez can also get a start ahead of the underperforming Alex Telles and get to prove his ability at the senior level.

Option 3: If Cavani and Fred return

Rangnick said after the Chelsea game that Cavani and Fred could be the ones who return from injury against Brentford. If they can prove their fitness, Ralf can change things up in his line-up by adding them.

Cavani’s potential inclusion would have to force Cristiano Ronaldo to be moved to the left wing. Fred would probably replace Nemanja Matic and play with Jesse Lingard as one of the two no.8’s in Rangnick’s midfield three.

This team could be an energetic, refreshed one who can possess that unpredictable factor to trouble Brentford.
