Speaking about what Cristiano Ronaldo said when he tried to talk to him about his future, Luis Nani said: “When he’s on vacation he doesn’t answer the phone to anybody.
“I tried to talk to him, but he said: ‘I’m so busy now, we’ll talk soon’. I hope (he stays). He’s an important player and a player who always makes a difference.
“I hope he’s in a good mood to help the club, so hopefully.”
Ronaldo has refused to make a public statement about his Man United future, causing him to be linked to a lot of clubs.
The Portuguese forward is reportedly frustrated at having taken a pay cut from United and the lack of Champions League football this season at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag, however, has insisted that Ronaldo remains in his plans and he doesn’t want to sell him.
