'I want to be better than before': Diogo Dalot raring to win trophies with Man United in 2022/23

"I set my targets and it’s always about trying to help the team as much as I can," explained 

"That’s what I work hard for every day. [I want] to be an option for the manager and I always want to step up my game.

"I always want to be better than what I was before and this season I want to step up my game individually.

"Collectively, hopefully, we can reach the end of the season with some trophies."

“We need to be ready for that, to be ready to hear things that maybe we don't want to hear but I think everything is for the greater good of the team and that's the most important thing.

“We start from scratch; new manager, new staff, new energy, new players coming in and we're looking forward to playing with them as well. We need to build a team, a staff, a club, everyone together and go forward,” he also added.

Dalot has started all three games under Ten Hag so far and seems primed to be the first-choice right-back for the Red Devils this season.

But he and a number of United players still need to improve aspects of their game before the 

 season starts to enjoy a successful campaign under the new manager.

“I think Cristiano is important for us,” 

 told reporters when questioned about his thoughts on 

“What we know is he is going through some family issues, we hope everything is OK and that’s how we do,” he added.

The official explanation for Ronaldo refusing to turn up to United’s training is he is having personal issues and has been given extra time off because of it.

 about not letting Cristiano leave and has him in his plans for the season.

as his biggest critic last season I saw alot of improvements in the pre season,  let's hope he keeps it up

Good thing to say but the reality is dalot is not good enough for United.
