According to Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, a tier-one reporter, Manchester United are open to the prospect of a permanent sale for James Garner this summer.
The young midfielder, 21, has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs. And Erik ten Hag will reportedly greenlight the transfer if a suitable offer arrives.
The Red Devils value Garner at around £14 million, which is hardly a sizeable fee given his potential.
He enjoyed a fantastic campaign for Nottingham Forest on loan last season, scoring four goals and assisting eight times in 44 Championship appearances. In fact, Garner played a key role in Forest's promotion to the Premier League this term.
United actually need a player of his calibre to shore up the midfield as Fred and Scott McTominay are simply not cutting it. But it looks like Garner could leave before the transfer deadline on August 31.
