Antony 'ignored' Ten Hag's tactical instructions in Man City loss

Antony ignored Erik ten Hag’s orders to track back and defend in Man United’s 6-3 loss to Man City, claims The Sun.

In the build-up to the game, the Dutch gaffer constantly reminded the winger of his defensive responsibilities.

However, Antony failed to carry out the instructions and left Diogo Dalot completely exposed to City’s onslaught on the wing.

Dalot had to urge the winger to help him with Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva constantly flooding their winger.

Jadon Sancho was also criticized after the game for failing to help Tyrell Malacia, causing United to go down 4-0 in the first half.

Ten Hag will have to work on getting his wingers to be more hard-working and contribute defensively to avoid such a heavy defeat going forward.
