CAPTURED: Antony's emotional reaction to Brazil World Cup call-up

 has emotionally reacted to being included in Brazil's World Cup squad for the tournament in Qatar.

Flanked by close friends and family, Antony jumped for joy when his name is read out before breaking into songs and chanting in the embrace of his people.

Naturally, tears followed as he tightly embraced his father who was sat by his side during the announcement. He was one of four United stars included by Tite.

, Fred and Alex Telles are the others. The quartet will be hoping to play a big part in Brazil’s campaign as they begin against Serbia, Cameroon and Switzerland.

Antony made his debut on 7 October 2021 in a World Cup qualifier against Venezuela. He came on as a substitute in 77th minute and scored a goal in added time to establish the final score of 3–1 for Brazil.

He has made 10 other appearances, adding a goal.

Telles is currently on loan at Spanish side Sevilla, while Casemiro, Fred and Antony have all played key roles for Erik ten Hag’s Reds this term.

The duo have both been selected in the final squad for the World Cup, with Antony and Telles also on the plane, even though the former has been out of late due to injury.

Casemiro and Fred have developed a really strong bond while playing together for the Brazilian national team and become two regulars for the Selecao.

Casemiro, who joined Man United on a £70 million transfer from 

 in the summer window, is yet to establish himself as a key player at Old Trafford.
