'Him leaving would be the shocking outcome': Man United fans react to Martinez-to-Real Madrid rumours

Lisandro Martinez is being linked with a shocking move to Real Madrid just months after signing for Manchester United from Ajax.

Defensa Central, a non-reliable Spanish source, claimed last week that the La Liga giants had Argentine centre-back 'in their sights.'

And Man United supporters believe the reports to be complete nonsense, claiming that Martinez will not be looking to leave so soon.

TwoSheds (via RedCafe): "Would be pretty weird if he was already looking at a move. You never know of course but I'd say it's minimum 2 years before any itchy feet come into."

A-man: "Career wise, I don't think it would be a good move. He is now in a place where he plays every game in the best league in the world. At Madrid there are several good CBs and I don't think he would play much as they have better options."

Apokalips: "Typical United fan nerves to think that he would be considering leaving because of one report. Him leaving would be the shocking outcome — he has just joined, seems to get on well with his teammates and is with a coach that knows and trusts him massively."

yumtum: "Not overly worried, he's on a contract until he's 30 having signed 4 months ago for €60m, if he pushes to leave he and his agent will have to understand it wouldn't be for anything less than £100m."
