Cristiano Ronaldo will play for Saudi Arabia club Al-Nassr starting from January 1, Marca confirm. The Portuguese will sign a 2.5-year contract with the club.

The deal will make Cristiano the highest-paid player in the world. He will be making around €200m per season. In comparison, Lionel Messi's current salary at Paris Saint-Germain is €75m per season.

Al-Nassr is coached by Frenchman, Rudi Garcia. He once described Ronaldo as an "alien" while at Lyon before a Champions League game with Juventus.

The club play their home games at the 25,000-capacity Mrsool Park. David Ospina, Luiz Gustavo and Vincent Aboubakar currently play there.
