Man United ended their five-and-a-half-year trophy drought with a 2-0 win over Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.
Of course, fans were ecstatic to see the lads finally lift a trophy after years of torture and disappointment.
While the supporters were all praise the players who contributed towards the win, some were also thankful of those who weren’t even involved.
Indeed, some United fans decided to thank Adrian Rabiot’s mother – Veronique Rabiot – for contributing in the win.
As you see, Rabiot was actually a prime target for United in the summer. John Murtough even travelled to Juventus to get a deal done in the summer.
However, extravagant demands from his mother (who is also his agent) put an end to the deal.
Instead, United focused on signing Casemiro – who was the Man of the Match in the final win and has been one of the best players for us all season long.
Some fans were also thankful to Piers Morgan. This is because they feel he played a major role in Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from the club.
It was Morgan’s infamous interview with Ronaldo, where he bad-mouthed the club and eventually got his contract terminated.
