Former Italy striker Christian Vieiri believes that Man United can find a second coming of George Best if they sign Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Vieiri spoke about the Georgian winger on Twitch’s BOBO TV: “Spalletti doesn’t just say things. He said that Kim is the best centre back in the world and that Kvaratskhelia’s goal was worthy of Maradona.
“The goal he scored was the stuff of madness! If he goes to Manchester United, the days of George Best will return. Kvaratskhelia is the same [as the Northern Irish legend]. I can’t wait for Wednesday to see Napoli play.”
Kvaratskhelia has been in insane form for Napoli this season, having scored 13 goals and provided 15 assists in 28 appearances over the course of the campaign. He’s been hailed as ‘Kvaradona’ as a tribute to Diego Maradona by his fans for his heroics too.
However, with the winger confessing his love for Real Madrid and desire to play for them, it’ll be difficult for any club barring the La Liga side to sign him.
United also have a number of left-winger options at the club, but splashing the cash for the irresistible Kvaratskhelia can help form a special frontline for Erik ten Hag’s side.
