Victor Lindelof has revealed that he’s been playing with a broken toe since September for both Man United and Sweden.
Speaking to Aftonbladet about his issues, he said: “I broke my toe in September, and I felt it tightening out there. It was with the national team in September.
“I got a stamp so I broke it. It hurt for a while, I had to take some painkillers. I could play, but only had a size bigger on the shoe.”
Lindelof led his Sweden side to a 3-0 win over Azerbaijan in the Euro 2024 qualifying game on Monday, in which Anthony Elanga also scored.
The centre-back has lost his regular place in the United XI under Erik ten Hag, having made 21 appearances for the Red Devils this season.
