Scott McTominay cannot stop scoring for Scotland and scored another brace in their 2-0 win over Spain on Tuesday.

This marked his 4th goal in two games for his national team, with the Man United midfielder in brilliant form.

McTominay is likely to play the next few games for the Red Devils, with Casemiro still suspended.

But some United fans believe he can be slotted in another role altogether, as they reacted after his goals.

Fernandes suggests new role for McTominay after two goals for Scotland

 with a post on social media hailing it as a ‘good start’ to qualifying.

In reaction, Fernandes joked if the midfielder is now a striker. 

McTominay struck in the 87th minute and then in injury time. The 

 midfielder had only scored one international goal before this, which came against Israel in 2021.

Sometimes it’s all about how the manager decides to position a player within an established strategy and taking into consideration how to maximize the use of a player’s best abilities..

Right now it really looks like Weghorst is a better pressing and tackling player than Scotty.. and Scotty is a better striker than Weghorst.. And that’s gonna be a terrible headache for ETH to sort out.. 😅

You can't form an opinion after just 2 International games, it's common sense!!! 
I think when Maguire scored and put his finger to his lips as a way of trying to tell his haters to be quiet when he played an utterly useless team this is kind of similar but instead of Mctominay putting his fingers to his lips its some of the deluded fans who have no idea about football!! 
Do you think scouts watch 2 games and then say buy them to the board???

My point exactly in previous post, I'm not saying it was a fluke but come on 😂🤣🤣..

Truth is TH has made almost all the united players perform better but McTominay was on everyone's sell list until last night, we can't form a whole new opinion on a  player after 2 International games
