Speaking to Betfred, Glen Johnson said: "I've previously said that Liverpool would have to go on a six to eight-game unbeaten run to have any chance of finishing in the top four and they've done that.
"Liverpool have certainly got the momentum and Manchester United are inconsistent at present, so I believe Liverpool are the favourites out of them, Man United and Newcastle United to finish in the top four.
"Out of Man United and Newcastle, I think that Liverpool are going to most likely finish in the top four at the expense of Newcastle. I believe that Liverpool will finish third this season as they're the most consistent team."
Man United's 1–0 defeat away at West Ham last week complicated things for the Red Devils ahead of the final few games of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
Erik ten Hag's men are now just one point above fifth-placed Liverpool in the table although they do have an additional game in hand (a trip to Bournemouth).
