Mohamed Salah has posted a lengthy tweet describing how frustrated he is about Liverpool failing to qualify for the Champions League this season.
He posted it minutes after Manchester United confirmed their place with a resounding 4-1 win over Chelsea.
The Liverpool forward tweeted: "I’m totally devastated.
"There’s absolutely no excuse for this. We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed.
"We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down."
Considering Liverpool were nowhere close to the top four until the latter stages of the season, Salah's words do not make sense.
It seems like someone's got a bad case of sour grapes.
