In recent months, there have been questions over the club’s valuation, which sometimes have driven down the share price this year. In February, the Financial Times suggested United is only worth $1.6 billion, less than half of what the share price implies. At the time, the share price fell 9.2% at the news.

Something else that could affect the stock price in the coming weeks is United’s earnings report, which is due this week. At its last earnings report in March, the club made a quarterly net profit of £6.3 million and reiterated its previous revenue guidance of £590 million to £610 million.
