Iqbal opens up on Man United exit
Zidane Iqbal's transfer from Manchester United to Eredivisie side Utrecht is now official but the 20-year-old midfielder has no regrets about leaving Old Trafford.
He told Sky Sports: "The time is right to go and take on a new challenge. It is one that I cannot wait for and I'll be applying myself with the same level of desire, determination and dedication that has taken me this far in my career."
Berbatov wants Man United to take a look at Monaco defender
Dimitar Berbatov has suggested Man United to scout 25-year-old AS Monaco full-back Axel Disasi on the back of a successful 2023/23 Ligue 1 campaign.
He told Betfred: "I know how Monaco works. Whey they identify a young player, they tend to grow into really good players. I'm sure Disasi can continue to develop even more if he moves this summer."
Man United announce another friendly
A club statement read: "Manchester United will play French Ligue 1 runners-up RC Lens in a pre-season friendly to be hosted at Old Trafford this summer."
The game is scheduled to happen on August 5 - the only pre-season game at our home ground this year.
Man United 'remain interested' in De Jong
