Man United celebrate Amad's 21st birthday with unique cake

He spent an impressive campaign on loan at Sunderland last season, returning with the aim of a senior team breakthrough. 

 and received some extra motivation through his unique birthday cake. 

The Man United camp celebrated his birthday by ordering a cake that looks like his club shirt - with 'Diallo 16' written on the back. 

Amad looked delighted with the cake and we're hoping to see the birthday boy in action against

Leeds are aiming for a quick return to the Premier League after their relegation and believe Amad would be a great choice to add. 

However, fans do not believe the teen should be allowed to leave without a fair shot at impressing

Fabrizio Romano clarifies Man United's stance on future of Amad Diallo & one more youngster

 pre-season campaign in July, as per Fabrizio Romano.

He said on his YouTube channel: “When Man United signed Amad Diallo, it was a dream for the player,. Amad only wanted Man United – he loves Manchester United, really.

“And he hopes to have an opportunity in the summer. The idea of Erik ten Hag is to give him a chance in preseason to check and to test Amad Diallo again in the preseason tour and then to see what they want to do with him. But believe me, Amad Diallo is crazy for Man United.”

Romano also confirmed that the Red Devils are in an advanced stage of discussions with 

 over a new long-term contract for the winger.

He added: “In terms of news, that Manchester United are in advanced talks to extend the contract of Facundo Pellistri until June 2028.

“So they want to give him a new long-term deal and then discuss in the summer a potential loan move for Pellistri because this could be an opportunity for him to play. But the priority is to extend the contract.”

At this point, it appears that whoever among Diallo and Pellistri is able to impress Ten Hag the most during the pre-season campaign will only be retained as part of the first-team squad for next season.

Amad enjoyed a prolific loan spell at Sunderland this season, scoring 14 goals and providing 4 assists in 43 appearances.
