Erik ten Hag gives verdict on narrow Wolves win, makes admission on Onana moment

Speaking to Sky Sports after Man United’s 1-0 win over Wolves, Erik ten Hag said: “It (our performance) can be better. We can play better. But we're very pleased with the win.

“The opposition were dynamic. We have to match that. We had to fight for our points. There is no easy game in the Premier League and definitely not Wolves. They're a tough team and we did really well. You have to fight in every game. We hope we'll be better on the ball in the next game.”

When asked if he feels that Andre Onana was lucky not concede a penalty late on and his performance, the gaffer added: “He had very good saves, was very calm, very good debut.

"After the opponent touched the ball he dived in so it was the judgement of the officials and lucky for us no penalty. I think you can debate it but I think no penalty.”

The Dutchman will probably not be pleased with the performance despite seeing his side win their opening game.

The Red Devils will aim to improve their performance and play much better in their upcoming clash against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
