7 shirt numbers Sofyan Amrabat could claim at Man United as Fiorentina talks continue

Manchester United are now on course to complete the deadline day signing of Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.

According to both Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic, the Red Devils are close to agreeing a loan deal for the Morocco midfielder.

The 27-year-old is expected to join until the end of the 2023/24 campaign and the Red Devils could make the transfer permanent next summer.

Amrabat will have plenty of shirt numbers to choose from at Old Trafford with the no. 4, 13, 15 and 17 jerseys currently available ahead of the new season.

Additionally, potential deadline day exits of Eric Bailly and Harry Maguire could free up the no.3 and 5. Amrabat, though, is likely to pick the no.4 — his Morocco number.
