'He loves the club': Romano claims Reguilon's permanent Man United move can't be ruled out

Sergio Reguilon's loan to Man United is due to expire next summer but, according to Fabrizio Romano, a permanent move after that can't be ruled out.

Even though he was only signed as a cover for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia - with a break clause in January included in the deal - Man United are happy with Reguilon, and the player is happy there too.

"He loves the club, and loves Manchester. He probably needed that, to be motivated again, and to be part of a club where he's in the plans again," Romano told The United Stand.

Reguilon has started the last three games for Man United. This is already more games than he started on loan at Atletico Madrid for the whole last season.

Tottenham are still his parent club, but he has not played for them since April 16, 2022.
