'Disgrace': Fans fume as Scott McTominay's wonder goal disallowed vs Spain

Scott McTominay scored an incredible goal from a free-kick for Scotland in their Euro qualifier against Spain.

Unfortunately, VAR intervened and disallowed the goal as Scotland players reportedly blocked the goalkeeper.

That decision was controversial, to say the least. Alternate angles of the goal do not show any foul play involved, meaning the goal should have been allowed to stand.

Nevertheless, fans are not pleased especially since the Manchester United midfielder is back to scoring cracking goals. Here are some reactions.

πŸ’¬ imjustutd: "VAR STRIKES AGAIN! No matter what the competition is, the agenda against Man Utd never goes. McTominay and Scotland got robbed."

πŸ’¬ WayneSBarton: "Conspiracy to rule out that McTominay goal because FIFA don’t want to be facing an uncomfortable conversation about how he should win the Ballon d’Or."

πŸ’¬ Soft2097: "Scott McTominay has been ROBBED. Somehow this wonder goal has been ruled out by VAR. An absolute disgraceful decision."

πŸ’¬ willicm: "That McTominay goal for Scotland being disallowed is as corrupt a decision as you've ever likely to see. That referee needs to be investigated."

πŸ’¬ AlexCTurk: "Horrendous decision to deny Scott McTominay a stunning free-kick goal to give Scotland the lead against Spain. Interfering with play? Not a chance. It was his 7th goal of EURO 2024 qualifying. The guy’s a striker, I swear."
