Revealed: When Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be in charge of Man United operations

According to Alan Nixon, one of The Sun's more reliable journalists, Sir Jim Ratcliffe hopes to assume control of Manchester United's operations as early as next week.

In fact, the INEOS owner reportedly hopes to start running the club from next Monday.

Nixon understands one of Sir Jim's initial tasks would be to set a new structure. He's also expected to finalise the appointment of Paul Mitchell as the club's new sporting director.

That puts the jobs of John Murtough and CEO Richard Arnold at risk, with several personnel changes expected from the top to the bottom.

Ratcliffe wishes to have full ownership in the future but at present, he's buying a 25 per cent stake worth £1.25 billion.
