Bruno Fernandes has responded to the recent buzz about a possible move from Manchester United to a Saudi Arabian team. It came as a surprise for Manchester United to hear about Fernandes potentially being eyed by clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
He's seen as a cornerstone player at Man United, making any talk of selling him quite unexpected, though perhaps that's exactly why the Saudis were interested.
Reports surfaced earlier this month that an unnamed Saudi Pro League team was gearing up to discuss matters with Fernandes' agent in hopes of persuading him. Now, Bruno himself has spoken up about this situation.
Fernandes told Sport TV Portugal: "I'm focusing on the national team and Man United. I'm happy where I am. In the national team, we had some very good times, at Manchester United, we didn't start the way we wanted. I don't look at rumours.
"I don't pay attention to them. Today, it's very easy to spread rumours in the press. I prefer to concentrate on my goals."
