Raphael Varane has grown frustrated at being reduced to a bench warmer role at Man United, claims The Athletic.
The report states that while he is not pushing to leave the club anytime soon, the Frenchman has become annoyed.
Erik ten Hag currently prefers to play Harry Maguire over Varane at the backline, with both viewed as right centre-back options.
A major reason or that is the French centre-back’s physical output and his tendency to pick up injuries so easily.
Maguire has proven to be a reliable figure by staying away from injury problems and producing a number of solid performances this season.
Varane will have to work hard in training to win over Ten Hag’s confidence again and most importantly stay fit to become a key player for the Red Devils again.
