The 14th edition of the prestigious Globe Soccer Awards took place in Dubai on January 19 and the gala ceremony was attended by a galaxy of stars from the football world.
Casemiro was honoured with the 2023 Globe Soccer Player Career Award, sharing the spotlight with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Halaand.
Former Chelsea skipper John Terry and Argentina World Cup-winning coach Lionel Scaloni were presented with similar prizes at the ceremony, which also recognised the best players, coaches and journalists from the past year in the football world.
Ronaldo and his super agent Jorge Mendes have dominated this award since its inception in 2010.
Mendes has picked up the Agent of the Year crown on 11 out of 13 occasions while Ronaldo has received no fewer than 15 different honours.
This year alone, he clinched three: the Fans' Favourite Player of the Year, Best Middle East Player and Maradona Award for Best Goal Scorer of the Year.
