Diogo Dalot has hailed the impact of Scott McTominay for Man United this season. McTominay's header against Aston Villa was his eighth goal of the season, a tally only bettered by top goalscorer, Rasmus Hojlund (11).
Having been linked with a summer exit, Dalot believes his teammate has earned his place at the club. "I think I have the ability to do it [get more assists]. I still think I can get even more, so hopefully in the future, yeah," Dalot explained.
"I think every time he [McTominay] comes on the pitch, he has that mentality of trying to score goals and trying to help the team.
"We need this type of mentality at this club - and I think he is the perfect person to show this season that even coming from the bench, he always has a good impact."
McTominay's seven Premier League strikes have won Ten Hag's side 12 points this term, more than any other player ahead of Son Heung-min's 10 and Dominic Solanke's nine.
The Red Devils rejected a £30million bid from West Ham United last summer but would've sanctioned his sale if their £40m valuation was met.
