When asked about his feelings on the Red Devils’ ability to secure a top-4 finish at the end of the season, Erik ten Hag told Sky Sports: “I think we are back in the race and we are building momentum. We need to build pressure. Every game is a final to get closer to them.”
Man United do, indeed, need to consider every single of their remaining games of the 2023/24 season to be as important as a final to maintain their impressive winning momentum.
The Red Devils are still undefeated in all competitions in the year of 2024 and have won their last four Premier League games, but with Aston Villa or Tottenham Hotspur not easily slowing down – there is a need to significantly extend this winning streak to move back in the top-4 anytime soon.
