Revealed: Greenwood's stance on potential Barcelona move after Sir Jim's comments (reliability: 3 stars)

Barcelona is reportedly eyeing a possible summer move to sign Mason Greenwood from Man United, claims the Sun.

However, the Englishman would be unwilling to move to the Spanish club if he feels that the Red Devils are eager to bring him back to the first-team.

Greenwood feels that he a owes a ‘debt’ to repay the fans and Erik ten Hag after enjoying a solid loan spell at Getafe.

A source close to the situation told The Sun: “Mason respected the decision Manchester United made to send him to Spain, but he always wanted to return to the team after the police investigation involving him came to an end.

“He believes he has a debt to repay the fans and the manager and would love a second chance. To him, Manchester United is the biggest and best club in the world and if a chance emerged for him to go back he would.

“Barcelona are among a number of clubs interested in signing him. But if United threw him a lifeline to resurrect his career at Old Trafford, he’d be on the quickest flight home.”

Greenwood seems focused on resurrecting his career at Old Trafford and going by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s recent comments, there is a chance that he’s brought back to the first-team next season.
