'They already know': Gary Neville has interesting theory about Ten Hag's future

During an appearance on Sky Sports, Gary Neville claimed that INEOS already know what to do with Erik ten Hag at the end of the season.

Earlier, reports claimed Manchester United, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, will decide Ten Hag's future depending on results from now till the summer.

However, Neville thinks that the decision has already been made.

Quoted by Dexerto, the Man United legend said: "I think that if you look at the guy that’s come in from Man City as CEO [Omar Berrada] and then they’re trying to get Dan Ashworth in from Newcastle, they’re going to make a decision I think quite quickly if they’ve not done already.

"I suspect that Jim Ratcliffe and Dave Brailsford already know whether they’re going to keep Erik ten Hag as manager next season.

"I can’t believe they’re going to wait until May to make that decision and then leave themselves short."

Neville continued: "Where United have been found out in the last 10 years in recruitment on and off the pitch is making poor decisions, late decisions, not being ahead of the game.

"I don’t think they’re [INEOS] going to do that so for me I suspect they’ve probably come to a conclusion already and it may even be that they stick with the decision whether they qualify for the Champions League or not."

Ten Hag's job looked safe at the beginning of the year just as Rasmus Hojlund discovered his goalscoring form in the Premier League.

Since Hojlund's injury, Man United fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Fulham, with top-four chances looking increasingly slim.
