At his pre-match press conference, Erik ten Hag was asked how he intends to convince his squad to get a huge result against Manchester City on Sunday.
The boss replied: "Our form. We are also in a good run.
"This period is very good, we are united. We are in togetherness and make a good gameplan.
"We have done [well] before against City and also lately against Liverpool, so we will prepare well.
"The players are ready for it and looking forward to it. I can smell it.
"I am around here and speak with the players, so we are really looking forward and excited."
Manchester United have qualified for the FA Cup quarter-final but fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Fulham in their previous Premier League clash.
A win against Man City on Sunday would be just the boost Ten Hag desperately needs to silence the growing rumours of his sacking.
