Speaking to TNT Sports, Joleon Lescott said: "To have a consistent level of confidence is hard. But for me, confidence always comes from the work you do away from the lights. Also, moments like [the derby goal] will do that.
"I think Marcus Rashford the only player who plays for Manchester City. If Pep Guardiola has Rashford, he's 100% a better player and I'm not solely blaming Erik ten Hag but he has a better impact on the game [if he is] at Man City.
"The system would allow him to produce moments that he's comfortable in. How many times are you getting him one-on-one in the final third? If Rashford is getting the ball up to nine times a half, he's more confident from that alone."
Rashford has been one of the most inconsistent players at Manchester United this season, a far cry from his incredible 2022/23 campaign under Ten Hag.
However, the 26-year-old has been showing signs of improvement lately, scoring two goals in two Premier League games, including one vs Man City.
