Erik ten Hag was able to guide Man United to a thrilling 4-3 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final before the international break.
Despite that, as per ESPN, the Dutchman is pragmatic enough to understand that his job as the Red Devils’ gaffer is not totally secured yet.
But Ten Hag also doesn’t quite believe that Sir Jim Ratcliffe or his confidante Sir Dave Brailsford will terminate his contract as manager, which expires next year.
This is especially as he has been fully involved with transfer plans for the summer transfer window and also about Man United’s pre-season plans in the summer.
With that being said, ESPN also cites ‘sources’ claiming that Ten Hag has not received any formal guarantee that he will stay at Old Trafford next season.
The Dutchman will hope to guide his side to winning the FA Cup final and secure a Premier League top-4 place to properly secure his future as the Red Devils’ manager.
